Dark clouds, wind and rain threatened to dampen the occasion of the NEWS summer social last Sunday. Happily, as the day wore on, the sun broke through and we were blessed with a glorious English summer day.

NEWS members, family and friends enjoyed a relaxed afternoon with good company and good food! Various entertainments were available but, for the most part, folk enjoyed chatting and relaxing in the company of English friends.

NEWS Trustees value the positive affect these social gatherings have in strengthening our community bonds. We look forward to arranging more and varied events in the future.
